Mike Herrin is a well-respected landscape designer. Mike has been specializing in residential and commercial landscape design. His notable skills working with native and drought tolerant plants lend him toward his work in California. His designs focus on a Mediterranean style, based on many of the classic styles of Italy. Mike has won several design awards in collaboration, most notably the Gold Medal Garden Creator Award and the Association of Professional Landscape Designers Awards from the 2007 San Francisco Flower and Garden Show (http://www.gardenshow.com/sf/index/index.cfm). He also won the San Francisco Garden Club's Small Garden Design Competition in 2007.
Born and raised in the Bay Area, Mike has always had an affinity for elements of landscape design and natural aesthetics. Mike graduated from UC Berkeley with an MS in Conservation and Resource Studies and a Masters in Landscape Architecture (MLA).
Mike began his career working with a world-renowned Landscape Architecture firm. Mike was responsible for working on design projects for the UC Berkeley Campus, the Stanford University Campus and High-end Private Residences in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Mike's passion for landscape design is reflected in the verdant surroundings he creates. An ability to collaborate with architects, contractors, and his clients have earned Mike a well-deserved reputation as a true professional.
